T Stands For………tea and taking photos….

….and a little bit of painting! I felt quite tired when we got to our caravan last Thursday but wanted to play! It was Neo-coloursII that came to the rescue! I was just playing around scribbling with some colours when I could see a familiar scene appearing - the bottom end of Rydal Water that we glimpse through the trees when we visit the gardens at Rydal Mount(Wordsworth's home until he died).I was bit over generous with the mountains behind though! I used my water brush to blend the colours. I added a handwritten word and some stencilling around the edge with part of a Seth Apter stencil.
I would like to enter at Art Journal Journey (Yvonne's theme of Out And About is right up my errr….path!)As this is also hand painted I will enter into the Moo Mania challenge - Paint Something By Hand
We visited another of our favourite gardens last week - the one at Sizergh where a lot of changes are being made - it will look great in the Summer!
There is a really good show when you first enter the gate
We only see this view in the Winter
The borders are showing signs of Spring coming
They have had to drain the ponds to get rid of a weed!
The swans were on their island
One swan continued to build their nest while the other went for a swim

The Hellebores and Cyclamen look beautiful
After visiting the formal garden we headed for the little woodland walk

We were amazed at the number of seagulls on the ploughed field

The old shell on our decking still has some food in it  but the blue tit prefers the new one!
Finally I have my drink - as I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T Stands for Tuesday!

It's Teacup Lady! I stamped her onto a piece of card that I sprinkled with Infusions - unfortunately she had a brown mark on her cheek which I tried to disguise with red DI - not a good look!! She's here to remind you that there is still a week left at Try It On Tuesday for our 'Time for Tea' theme.Hope to see you there!

I would also like to join in the 'Hats and Headgear' challenge at Tag Tuesday

We are home for a while so hope to see you more often! Thank You for visiting my blog when I can't get back to you - I do appreciate it! I'm planning to do a massive catch up!

Thanks for looking, Chrisx

That's an amazing landscape you created for AJJ and MM&M. I am always impressed when you draw things you don't stamp.

The Sizergh Gardens are already spectacular. Are those snowdrops? The photos are fantastic and I love the view of the walkway and the emerging greenery around the wall.

Your swan photos are out of this world. They are magical in their beauty, too.

I think that technically, those are known as LAND gulls when they are not on the water. They often appear when fields are being plowed. It's amazing they are even in Kansas.

Your tea lady is blushing, isn't she? It's still a wonderful tag and very appropriate for T this Tuesday.

Thanks for sharing Sizergh Gardens, your journal page, and your tag with us for T this Tuesday.

Thanks for sharing the photos of those gardens, looks a great place to be, and I can imagine it will be breathtaking in summer. Your teacup lady tag is great, and she would be just right at Tag Tuesday this week, too, if you want to link. The gulls are always out in force here, too when fields are being ploughed or planted. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

Happy T Day Chris.

I love it when you are out and about we get to see where you have been. Today is an extra special day for me as it includes places I used to live to visit when we lived in Cumbria.

The painting is fantastic and what I hope to be able to do soon--just did my first water colour background.

The tag is very beautiful and would fit in nicely with our Tag Tuesday Theme if you would like to add it there as well.

Have a great day

Love Chrissie xx

I adore the sketch and lovely photos, a place i would visiting if I could. The bit on the lay's check made me laugh as that has happened so often to me, trying to fix something only to make it worse. Yet the tag is wonderful, the layering perfect!

Funny how your subconscious will take over when you are quiet in thought. Your landscape is very pretty. Your rose cheeked tea-lady made me smile. I have know women who have had cheeks just like that LOL!
Your woodland walk looked amazing, such a pretty place, can't imagine how much more beautiful it will look as summer nears.

Happy T-day

What a lovely landscape. I love when that happens - you're playing with a medium, just scribbling or doodling and suddenly something appears to you. It's a wonderful feeling and that shows in the results.

Lovely gardens and the picture of swimming swan is gorgeous! You should print it out and frame it.

I like your tag. Somehow I think the rosy cheeks suit a lady who would wear a teacup on her head.

Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

Your bird feeder is much more attractive than my wire cage set-up. Nice!

The woman with the teacup hat make me think of Mary Poppins for some reason. Are there strange ingredients in my T?

That's a beautiful landscape... makes me want to get out and about for sure. I think Tea Cup Lady has been up to some mischief - that's why she's looking rather flushed... love the tag. Looks like the Sizergh gardeners are working hard.
